On 13th January 2021, JICA Partnership Program “JPP” on the “Project for Improving the quality of comprehensive services for cervical cancer”, which is a collaborated project between the Japanese Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology (JSOG) and Cambodian Society of Gynecology and Obstetrics (SCGO), handed over care HPV test system and accessories to Khmer Soviet Friendship Hospital. The system is a high-performance HPV testing device for cervical cancer screening, as recommended by the WHO global strategy to eliminate cervical cancer. The project aims to improve the quality of comprehensive services for cervical cancer by expanding awareness of the cancer through health education and expanding screening with HPV testing. The targeted population are primary school teachers in Phnom Penh and factory workers at special economic zone (about 2000 people each).
